You would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable, thorough, dependable and environmentally friendly pest control company than Borite Termite & Pest Treatments. Oxymoronic as it may sound, we have actually been referring to owners Jack and Nanette Launius as the Buddhas of pest control.
Jack and Nanette have over 40 years combined experience working in managerial and training positions for some of the biggest pest control companies around. He continues to educate himself about the chemicals used in pest control, their toxicity, and ways to maximize their effectiveness. “You don’t need excessive chemicals to kill little bugs. More shouldn’t mean better in our business,” Jack explains.
In their efforts to find every location of the pest, Jack and his crew thoroughly inspects the entire building. In the words of a loyal client: “Jack’s inspection took as long as our previous company’s treatment!” This research allows the technician to choose the most effective, least toxic solution to any pest-related problem. “We want to make the environment around the house less attractive to pests. For example, closing all the possible points of entry for rats.”
When applying chemicals, the technician uses Jack’s patented method to effectively spread the solution at the lowest possible toxicity. “I’ve seen other companies on maintenance calls spray more chemicals in 15 minutes around a house than I use in an entire week,” Jack remarks “How can all those chemicals be good for you? We always use the least amount of chemical at the lowest toxicity to control the pest problem.”
The company’s conscientious work led them to be the first company in California accepted into the EPA’s stringent PESP program (Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program). For details, see

Jack and Nanette pride themselves on their “Midwest style” customer service (“always return calls and accommodate the customer”) and high ethical standards. Jack asserts: “I treat my clients well; otherwise I couldn’t sleep at night.”
Tip: "The best way to avoid termites in new construction and remodeling is to treat the wood with borates during framing. Wood often comes to the construction site already infested with termites."
Jack is incredibly conscientious and a really nice guy. I highly recommend him without reservations!
